The bull continued attacking people for nearly two hours before being captured by the municipal corporation’s cattle-catching team. It was later shifted to a shelter, where it died too.
According to veterinary officials, the bull was suffering from rabies, likely due to a dog bite, which triggered the aggressive behavior.
District Magistrate Sanjeev Ranjan confirmed the deaths and assured compensation for the victims’ families as per government norms. Injured individuals are receiving treatment, and anti-rabies vaccinations have been administered as a precaution.
